We had a really great turnout for our Venture Shift event earlier this summer. The highlight of the show was Lawrence Coburn’s brutally honest story of fundraising. Here’s a picture of Lawrence telling the story. I hope to have the video up soon.

The other real highlights of the event were two discussions of the new JOBS act. First was Bambi interviewing Kate Mitchell of Scale Venture Partners, who was largely responsible for many provisions.

And then a 1-1 debate between Dave McClure of 500 Start-ups (PRO) and Michael Stocker of Labaton Law (CON). It was awesome to see Michael really give it back and forth with Dave, who I thought would just F-bomb him into oblivion!
